People use labels to hide. Having a label means that you can be someone, you can take that identity, wear the mask that goes with that label. People are scared to just be themselves. Having a label means that you can be what that label says you are, it means that you don't have to explain yourself because your label does it for you, and not always in a good way. If we didn't have labels then I think people would be a lot happier. We couldn't pigeon hole each other, we couldn't try and put each other in a certain box and go "you are that thing so must act a certain way and look a certain way". We must learn to see each other as people, as human beings. There is a reason that I don't have "this a queer blog" or any of those gifs on my page and it's because I don't want to label myself or anyone else as anything other than a human being. The world does not need us to label each other, it needs us to see each other for the people we are behind the labels.
Don't be scared to be yourself. People will love you for it.
