Leather. on. The red robin. That's like... one of the most obvious things about tim's costume... the cape is totally leather. like red mist in kick-ass. leather isn't even that expensive. LEATHER! (god now I look like a fetishist)
It's hard to see (what with your low res cam) and it's still a bit too tight imo. also, the face area is a lot more fuzzy, also should be leather(ette) there was a specific asian cosplayer who's tim cape/cowl I liked a lot, because of both the stitching AND the materials. you ever wonder why the movies never had the white eyes in there/added in unless they were lenses ? they don't look too convincing when fabric, either keep it glass-plasticy, or loose it like you're michael keaton.
I don't think you know that much about making costumes from the way you're talking. I have left a comment on your journal explaining a lot the practicalities of costuming and I hope that it helps, but unless you can give useful critique I suggest that you take your comments less way as I'm not interested in the uninformed comments of someone who obviously doesn't appreciated the work that went into this and other costumes and who doesn't see that other people have their own way of doing things.
